Web Advertising Options

The IIEPassport web site, www.IIEPassport.org, allows study abroad program providers to reach a dynamic audience of prospective study abroad students through a rich array of advertising options including Premium Sponsored Links, Ad Boxes, the Destination of the Month Package, and Logo Placement. IIEPassport.org users are comprised of students who are serious about studying abroad and are highly likely to enroll in a program. IIEPassport cultivates a unique relationship with these students and their advisers through continual outreach.

City Portals
Premium sponsorship opportunities are now available by city. Review our London page for example. A number one, number two or exclusive sponsorship is available for each city. We will create a new page if we do not currently list a city in which you provide a program.

 
Premium Sponsored Links
Premium Sponsored Links provide advertisers with prominent text ads that appear across the top of the page in colored boxes, above the search listings and Ad Boxes (see figure). These ads also contain a link directly to the program's web site.

 
Ad Boxes

Ad boxes, appearing on the right-hand side of the search results pages, may be purchased for specific programs or for an entire institution. The pages on which an advertiser's Ad Box(es) appear is determined by the keywords assigned to the program for which the ad was purchased. Keywords are categorized by destination, language, and subject.

Specific Program Purchase:The specific program purchase includes one destination keyword, up to two language keywords, and unlimited subject keywords that are relevant to the program(s) for which an ad has been purchased.

Full Institution Purchase: The full institution purchase allows providers to receive one destination keyword, up to two language keywords, and unlimited subject keywords for all their programs for one price. This option is ideal for an advertiser that has numerous programs they would like to promote.

 
Logo Placement
With the Logo Placement option, providers can feature their logo next to their name in their free listing description and next to their name on the search results pages. One low price allows the logo to be placed in each of the provider's listings.

 
Destination of the Month Sponsorship
Each month, IIEPassport features a different destination online and in a brochure that is mailed to over 1,000 targeted study abroad advising centers at institutions across the country. These institutions have been selected because of their high student interest in studying abroad. (A full list may be provided upon request). The Destination of the Month Sponsorship provides an effective, targeted advertising package. This package consists of an Ad Box on the featured destination page, a link from the IIEPassport home page, and an 8 1/2 x 11 flier or brochure insert that will be distributed to the over 1,000 advising centers along with our featured destination brochure. Only one study abroad program provider may be featured each month.

 
IIEPassport Student Newsletter
Distributed monthly, the IIEPassport Student Newsletter was launched in June 2005. Three 75-100 word text ads are featured in the newsletter - one at the top of the content, one in the center, and one at the bottom. Each sponsor's logo also appears along the right-hand side of the content. While the first position is currently sold out, the second and third positions are still available.

 

Advertising Policy
Advertising in the IIEPassport Study Abroad Directories or the IIEPassport website is open to U.S. and foreign higher educational institutions, private organizations, and companies that service the international educational exchange community.

The Publishers, the Institute of International Education and EducationDynamics, do not attempt to evaluate programs listed in the books or on the web, nor can they verify statements made by advertisers in their ads. Inclusion of a program or advertisement does not imply recommendation by IIE or EducationDynamics, nor does omission imply disapproval. Advertisers and sponsors are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information in their advertisements and programs respectively, and IIE and EducationDynamics may not be held responsible for any false advertising.
