The Institute of International Education (IIE) is a private not-for-profit organization. IIE is incorporated and with headquarters in the state of New York. The Institute carries out activities through its headquarters office in New York City, US offices in Washington DC, Chicago, Denver, Houston and San Francisco, and through a network of overseas offices.

The IIEPassport World Wide Web site is maintained by the Institute of International Education as a service to higher education and the community. IIEPassport is for non-commercial use. The purpose of this web site is to provide information, educational services and communication with the Institute's constituency in higher education, and other audiences in the United States and worldwide.
